Cassandra was a boss in everything she did and dating was no exception. She called the shots when dating and played the game like some men. She never let them get close enough to see her vulnerability or experience her love. Love, children, and family were the farthest thing from her mind; nothing was more important than her career, and this latest deal was her biggest. She had traveled the world for her career, but nothing would change her life more than that trip to the small town of Staton, Mississippi.
Everything about the town was different than Cassie’s home state, Michigan. The townspeople and their simple way of life intrigued her, but no one more than Guy. He was the ever-present stranger and was the talk of the townspeople and the more Cassie saw him, the more she wanted to know about him even what he knew about the infamous Staton family to help her win the deal.
Guy was mesmerized by the newcomer, Cassie, but he couldn’t get past the brick wall she put up around her heart. Despite Guy being loved by the townspeople Cassie seemed to be irritated by him at every chance encounter they had. His laid-back confidence was at odds with Cassie’s aggressive approach, but that did not deter him. While his whole livelihood was in jeopardy at the hands of an acquisitions firm and a mystery attack on his employer, Staton Farms, his only focus was convincing Cassie to go out with him. Even his dog, Boy, was working his angle with Cassie’s dog, Princess, to make it happen.
Staton had never seen a Northern wind as formidable blow through the town like Cassie and if she accomplished her goal, the town’s power structure would collapse and new players would be in control.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED IT ‼️Reflections reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 25, 2022. What a great roller-coaster ride‼️ This a real page-turner so, fasten your seat belts. It was well written by the Author as well. I loved how the Character's developments and storylines were well displayed and hard to figure out. There wasn't a dull moment, and in fact, I had to pause the book several times. I hated when it ended, so I'm looking forward to more work from this Author. It's just one of the books from a series, so the others are definitely a must. The suspense throughout and ending was EVERYTHING ‼️FIVE STARS 🌟 hands down.
